Frances Smith Boyd, 95, was born February 2, 1923 to Mary Smith Copper in Infianola, Mississippi. She relocated to San Luis Obispo, California. Frances made Kansas City, Missouri her home in 1969.

Frances met Ernest Boyd in 1972, they were united in marriage. Frances was employed as a domestic worker, she gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She joined St. Stephen Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri around 1970 where she sung in the choir and served on the Usher Board.

She loved cooking and singing and cleaning. Frances Boyd answered the Master’s call on Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019 at Swope Ridge Geriatric Center. Her husband, Ernest Boyd, and mother Mary Smith Cooper both preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her brother, John E (Lois) Willis and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, other relatives, church family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on January 26, 2019 at Greater St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, 2835 Indiana Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri.
