Frances Stewart Kimball, 89 of Sanford passed away Thursday July 19, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Saturday at Zion Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Kimball was born in Lee Co, a daughter of the late John William Stewart and Martha Janie Gaster Stewart.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy “Pete” Lester Kimball, and siblings, Leonard Odell Stewart, John William Stewart Jr, Robert Howard Stewart, Bobby Jack Stewart, Alvin O’Briant Stewart, Jill Rogers, Neil Wicker, Beck Clark, and Ruby Oldham. Mrs. Kimball worked at W. Koury Company for 40 years before her retirement. Mrs. Kimball is survived by her daughter, Patsy Thomas and husband Sammy of Sanford; granddaughter, Susan Petty and husband Butch of Sanford; grandson, Jason Thomas and Liz of Sanford; four great grandchildren, Christopher Way, Thomas Way, Camryn Thomas and Preston Thomas.

Memorials contributions can be made to Zion Christian Church, 23 Zion Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27330, or to the charity of one’s choice.
