Joseph Edward Garner, of Carthage passed away September 13, 2018. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday September 23, 2018 at Euphronia Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the Memorial service in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Joe was born in Moore Co, best known as a man with a heart of gold who never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, helping and caring for others and sharing his bountiful garden with others. He was a wonderful father and husband who never met a stranger.

Surviving is his wife, Tracey Goins Garner; daughters, Alexis Garner, and Lesley Garner; step daughters, Sonya Carden (Jarvis), and step son, Noah Carden; his parents, Ricky and Sherry Angel Garner; maternal grandparents, Frank and Janet Angel; sisters, Christy Pritt (Roger), and April Garner (Chad Willett); nieces, Abby Pritt, and Ruby Lynne Willett; nephew, Emir Menendez and sibling, John MacIntosh. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Avery and Fannie Lemon Key; charlie Hugh Angel and Louise Osborne Angel; paternal grandparents, John and Maggie Garner. The family will greet friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
