Frank T. Dawald, Jr., 93, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Maple Tree Terrace Assisted Living in Carthage. Frank was born March 3, 1925 in Joplin, MO to Frank T. Dawald, Sr. and Martha E. “Bartlett” Dawald. He was active as a 4-H leader and a youth leader at Mt.

Moriah Methodist Church. Frank bought a farm where he raised Shorthorn cattle and horses. He retired from his supervisor position with Carthage Marble after 56 years.

Frank was united in marriage to Ruth E. “Ford” on October 4, 1953 at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church; she preceded him in death on April 2, 2017. Frank is survived by one son, Frank Richard Dawald and wife Terri of Carthage; one daughter, Sharon Frost and husband Randy of Carthage; four grandchildren, Peter Frost, Lauren Dawald, Kelsey Frost and fiancé Nathan Webb, Jeff Dawald and fiancé Caitin; one great grandson, Cedar Hank Dawald.

Frank is preceded in death by one brother, Pete Dawald; four sisters, Thelma Byers, Juanita Dawald, Bernice Galloway and Imogene “Tootie” Dickens. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church Building Fund, Youth Group or Christmas Lights Display.
