Obituary for Franklin J. Panella Franklin J. Panella, 75, of Dunellen, passed away on April 26, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield to the late Joseph and Mary Panella, he was a longtime resident of the greater South Plainfield area. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Panella was a contractor by trade and the owner and operator of Franklin J. Panella, Inc. Surviving are his family, Ann Marie Scherkus, Crisann Palmieri, Yulia, Brian and Joseph Panella, and Kenneth Zushma, as well as his nine grandchildren and one sister.

Funeral services were held privately under the direction of the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals with entombment at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Please consider making a donation to the Plainfield Area Humane Society to further benefit less fortunate animals.
