Obituary for Frederick (Fred) Booth Frederick Hubert Booth passed away on Sept. 24, 2018, in his 85th year, from complications of Alzheimer’s/ Dementia). Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the PaxVilla Hospice in McAllen for making Fred’s last days comfortable.

Fred was born in the Wallaceburg, Ontario Canada, and lived there for 31 years, working as a milk delivery man for Jersey Dairy, and a volunteer fireman. He moved to Michigan in 1963, where he delivered milk for London Dairy in Roseville and Mount Clemens for 8 years. He then embarked on a 23 year career with Allegheny Airlines/ US Air, which took him and his wife Irene to live in many East Coast USA cities: Pittsburg / Elyria and Cincinatti/ Wilmington.

He retired in 1994. Fred and his wife Irene loved to travel all over N.A. in their motorhome, and wintered in the Myrtle Beach Area, before settling in Harlingen Texas in 1998. Fred was pre-deceased by his second-wife, Irene, in April 2018.

He is survived by his two sons from his first marriage, Daryl James and Peter Duane, both of Canada; and also, 7 Grandchildren. Fred’s has two surviving siblings, Darlene Wood ( Brabaw) of Wallaceburg, and Jimmy Booth, Campbell River, BC. Fred was pre-deceased by his mother, Estella Booth (Gurney) and also his adoptive Grandparents, Willard and Maude Booth (nee Murphy), and by siblings, Pearl, Elenor, Ernie, Ethel, Bea, Mervel, Della ,Leslie, Peggy, Joe, and Arthur, Fred was a resident of Harlingen for 20 years, living in a variety of local Mobile Home Parks in La Feria and San Benito, as well.

Fred enjoyed singing, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”, during White Wing games. He loved life and was always a happy and positive gentleman, eagerly talking to everyone who crossed his path! We will miss you Fred.
