OBITUARY Gabby Gaskins, Jr. February 15, 1955 – November 10, 2018 Latham Lytell “Gabby” Gaskins, Jr., 63, of Vanceboro, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 10th, 2018. Gabby shared his love of the Lord to many by preaching the Gospel and through his singing and song writing. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 14th at Cotten Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bo Hacker officiating. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends just prior to the funeral service from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at their home, 1490 Old Brick Rd, Vanceboro. Gabby is survived by his wife, Lorie Gaskins; mother, Earline Gaskins; daughters, Melody Powers, Anna Hobbes, and Emilie Oldham; granddaughters, Sydni Powers and Gianna Norcia; and great grandson, Reegan Jones. He was preceded in death by his father, Latham Lytell “Gabby” Gaskins, Sr.; his sister, Brenda Jones; and his son, Latham Lytell Gaskins, III.
