Obituary for Gail Hunter Gail Hunter, a resident of Sulphur, OK was born on August 20, 1945 to Juanita (Claiborne) and Cecil Staggs in Pampa, TX. She passed away in Norman, OK on April 27, 2018 at the age of 72. Gail grew up in the Happy and Plainview Texas area until 6th grade when she moved with her family to Davis, OK where she graduated High School from.

In High School Gail was involved in numerous activities including band and excelled at twirling. Gail married Mike Hunter in Davis, OK on June 6th, 1964. After attending college in Stillwater, OK at OSU, she and Mike moved to Marlow, OK where they spent 3 years before moving to Sulphur in 1972.

Throughout her life Gail was a Homemaker, partners in a Champion Club Lamb operations that sold lambs across the United States, partners in the family business, an artist that sold some of her paintings, and the President of the Homemakers Club for several years. Gail enjoyed crafting, flowers, and spending time outside gardening in her spare time. She loved dogs and loved to travel with her sister Neta Jo, the two of them shared many adventures together.

One of her favorites was traveling to Branson. Gail also had a very special love for her Granddaughters Edie and Aspen, she treasured spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents- Cecil and Juanita Staggs; her husband Mike Hunter on March 23, 2006; her dogs- a schnauzer Trinket, and a yorkie Halle Berry.

She is survived by her sisters- Neta Jo and husband Larry Palmer of Sulphur, OK, and Anna Lee Smith of Harrah, OK; Son- Eddie Paul Hunter of Sulphur, OK; Granddaughters- Edie Hunter of Sulphur, OK and Aspen Hunter of Sulphur, OK; Nephew- Clay and wife Sherri Palmer and their children Kyle, Cole, Keeton, and Koda; Niece- Ginger and husband Ricky Vinson and their children Justin and wife Amanda Vinson, Corbin, and Adley Jo; Niece- Amanda and husband Dale Crawford and their children Presley, Payton, and Gabby; Niece- Samantha Smith Services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Crossway Baptist Church of Sulphur, OK. officated by Rev. Bill Leveridge.
