Garry S. Metzgar, 70, Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday at Van Zandt VA Medical Center. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Robert and Helen (Salyards) Metzgar. Surviving are three brothers: Herb and Robert, both in Florida, and Kim of Duncansville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Burkett; and a brother, Greg. Garry graduated from Scotland School for Veterans’ Children, and retired from the railroad as a conductor. Garry served in the U.S. Army.

There will be no public service. Inurnment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
