Gary W. Covey, 75, passed away Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born January 28th, 1944 to Pete and Pearl (Mathew) Covey of Oxford, Nebraska. Gary and Linda Burwell were united in marriage on January 24th, 1987 in Inavale, Nebraska.

Gary was a truck driver, United States Navy Veteran and a 50-year member of the VFW. He was an elder of a weekly Christian church service at Heatheridge Assisted Living. Gary is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Darrell and Gerald Covey; and sister, Naomi Covey.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda J. Burwell Covey; sister, Beverly (Joe) Noble; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Covey, Verdena Springer; brothers-in-law, Donald (Barb) Burwell, Lyle (Linda) Burwell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., March 2, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud. Interment with military honors will be at the Red Cloud Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
