Gary Donald Rieben passed away surrounded by family on July 4, 2018, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon August 9, 1943 and grew up in San Diego, California. Western Airlines took him to Seattle, Washington then Salt Lake City, Utah where he began working for Delta until 2005 when he retired.

In retirement Gary loved to travel and watch his grandchildren grow. His greatest passion was gardening especially daylilies and was active with the Hemerocalis Society for many years. His legacy will live on in the many gardens he has touched.

He is survived by his wife, Joann, daughters Julie (Mick Wagner) and Wendy (John Bennett), five grandchildren, and sister Pam Catton. There will be a private family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Huntsman Cancer Institute.
