Kathy Ann Bosen Derrick took her last breath September 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren after battling cancer. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah August 5, 1952 to Rilla Ann Bosen and the late Richard Dean Bosen. She graduated from South High School in 1970.

She was married to Lawrence Reimann Derrick June 1, 1973 in the Salt Lake City temple. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved having the family over for Sunday dinner.

She was always serving others, as a school volunteer, various church callings, caring for her father after his stroke, service missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as a grandmother spending time with her energetic grandchildren. She shared her talent of music with others as she taught piano for over 30 years. She had many other talents that she shared with her children such as cooking, sewing, gardening and scrapbooking.

She loved to go walking early in the morning. She loved hiking, the mountains and spending time at the cabin. She is survived by: her mother Rilla, husband Larry, siblings Cindy (John), Brad (Jean), Pam (Ed) and Mark (Sherrie), her 8 children Lisa (Mark), Wendy (Scott), Matt (Summer), Cammy (Mark), Shonnie, Tommy (Shannon), Ricky (Sarah) and Emily (Jacob) and 19 grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Thursday September 13, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Holbrook Mortuary 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be Friday September 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm with a viewing from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Canyon Rim Stake Center 3051 South 2900 East, Salt Lake City.
