Gary L. High, 70, of Van Wert, passed away early Friday morning, October 26, 2018 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. He was born March 5, 1948, in Van Wert, to the late Glenn and Henrietta (Potter) High. Gary was a 1967 graduate of Van Wert High School.

On August 7, 1976 Gary married the love of his life, Cathy S. Kaiser. Together they had two daughters. He worked as a materials handler at Teleflex for 40 years, before retiring.

An avid bowler, Gary bowled in several leagues before his illness progressed. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football and the Minnesota Vikings, as well as women’s professional bowling. Gary was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy S. High; daughters: Angela High and Jennifer High; brother, Steve (Pattie) High; sister, Cherie (Dennis) Magner; all of Van Wert; brother-in-law, Bill (Cindy) Kaiser and sister-in-law, Connie Kaiser, all of Fremont. Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory with Chaplain Ellen Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Monday, October 29, 2018 at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice or The American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.
