Gary R. Teter, age 66, of Statesboro, Georgia passed from this life on January 25, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born in Tipton, Indiana on October 31, 1952 to Lawrence & Rosalee Teter. Gary was a graduate from Indiana University with a BA in English.

He taught at Appling County High School in Baxley, Georgia and Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He later completed his MA degree and Sixth Year Specialist degree in School Psychology. Before his retirement, he had worked in various counties throughout Southeast Georgia.

Gary is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Sellers Teter and his son, Zachary Teter. In honor of Gary’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
