Bath – Gayle Diane Othuse (MiMi), of Bath, ME, passed on April 25, 2018 while wintering in New Port Richey, FL, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Cornish, ME, on April 27, 1940 to the late Robert, and Mary Hamilton. Shortly after high school graduation, she married Richard, her beloved husband of 59 years.

Gayle studied nutrition, and worked at Elmhurst, Inc. as a planner, aide, and cook. She was widely known as a phenomenal hostess, and loved cooking delicious meals for everyone. Gayle also was passionate about flowers and was featured in the newspaper for her exceptional gardening in spite of her rheumatoid arthritis.

Her additional hobbies included hiking, traveling, and reading. Gayle’s legacy, and zest for life is carried on by her family: daughters Vicki Moriarty, and Lorrie Outhuse; and treasured grandchildren Yusiah Rivers, MaryBeth Moriarty, and Dylan Moriarty. Friends and family are invited to the graveside service Saturday, May 26 at 2:00 pm at Morningside Cemetery in Phippsburg.
