Obituary for Gayle S. Stein Gayle Sandra Stein, 81 of Marco Island, Florida/Minnetonka, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie and friend of many, died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 1, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband Paul Stein, father, Cyril Levens and mother, Mollie Levens. Survived by her loving children, Rhonda Stein (Stuart Goldenberg) and Scott Stein (Julie); beloved grandchildren, Robyn, Stefanie, Marlene (Bobby), Carolyn, Adriana; great-grandson, Robby; sister, Dorothy Herman; sister-in-law, Janice Stein and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gayle was born in North Minneapolis where she eventually met and married the love of her life, Paul Stein. Together, living in St. Louis Park, they raised their family. In 1981 they moved to Marco Island, Florida.

With Gayle’s support, Paul started Paul Stein Plumbing- a successful business that continues today by Paul’s son Scott and his wife Julie. Gayle began a new career that spanned 24 years in reservations at the Marriott Hotel. She was loved by customers and co-workers for her kindness and baking skills.

Gayle and Paul helped start the first Jewish Center on Marco Island. Above all, Gayle valued her family and friends and could always be relied upon for her love, friendship and support. She will be greatly missed, but the memories of her goodness will live on forever.

Funeral service is at 3:00 p.m. FRIDAY May 4th at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. , Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gayle’s honor to Temple Israel, Minneapolis.
