Obituary for Gayle M. Sorenson Gayle Marie Sorenson, 82 of Wahoo, died on April 22, 2018, at South Haven Living Center. She was born on August 23, 1935 to Roland and Ruth (Howe) Anderson in Wahoo, Nebraska. On December 21, 1950, she married Melvin (Mel) Sorenson in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Gayle lived in Wahoo her entire life. She was a housewife and mother. After her children were grown, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Saunders County Care Center.

She also became an EMT and helped to transport patients by rescue squad to the Lincoln area Hospitals. Throughout her life, she enjoyed her family, roller skating, swimming, music and her beloved pet Schnauzers. She is survived by her children; Lyn Poeschl of Scottsdale, AZ; Roxann (Roger) Whyman of Parker, CO; Randy (Laurie) Sorenson of Aurora, CO and Jill (Chris) Christensen of Lincoln, NE; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; sister, Jean Swanson; niece, Sheri Ludi; nephew, Timmy Swanson; great grandson, Grant Poeschl; and son-in-law Rich Poeschl.
