Gene B. Brown, 78, husband of Brenda Brewer Brown, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018. He was born in Versailles on September 26, 1940 to the late William D. Brown Sr. and Beulah Simpson Hutchins. He retired from IBM and was a veteran of the National Guard.

He loved spending time on his farm and was a member and deacon of Buck Run Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Buck Run Baptist Church.

Dr. Hershael York and Dr. Wesley Noss will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Reed Rexroat, Jacob Rexroat, Truett Cohorn, Dusty Rhodes, Rick Rogers, and Jonathan Brewer.

Honorary casketbearers will be Kelly Rexroat, Jimmy True, and Dariel Rexroat. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Buck Run Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Buck Run Baptist Church Building Fund.
