Eugene “Gene” Beaston, 59, of Moline, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at UnityPoint Health, Trinity Rock Island. A memorial service will be held on June 4, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Grace Bible Fellowship in Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Gene was born on December 5, 1958 in Moline, the son of Joseph and Wynona Lathrop Beaston. He was a property manager and entrepreneur and was part of the Labor’s Local 309.

Gene was a veteran, serving proudly in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed making wine and gardening. Survivors include his five brother, Garry, George, Edward, Gregg, and Rodney Beaston; and three sisters, Vicky Young, Debbie Correll, and Bonie Bercheger; 13 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
