Genevieve Roehrich was born September 11, 1927 in Linton, ND the daughter of Lorenz and Elizabeth (Zahn) Roehrich. She was raised and educated in Linton.

Genevieve married Adam Brown on May 28, 1946 in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in rural Linton. Following their marriage, they farmed near Linton. Genevieve enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking German meals for her family and playing cards, especially Pinochle.

Most of all, she delighted in spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Bennie Brown, Fort Hood, TX, Howard (Karen) Brown, Benton City, WA, Frederick (Sally) Brown, Grand Forks, ND; her daughters, Marcella (James) Kuchar, Naples, FL, Bernice Beck, DuPont, WA, Susan (Keith) Petterson, Grand Forks, ND, Flora (Wade) Willyard, Grand Forks, ND; A sister, Bernie Klien, Bismarck, ND; a sister-in-law, Jane (Roehrich) Senger, Linton, ND; daughter-in-law, Leora Brown, Kennewick, WA; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adam; a son, Gilbert Brown; brothers and sisters and a grandson.

Memorial Mass: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 613 N. Broadway St., Linton, ND 58552. Interment: St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Linton, ND.
