Obituary for George Blake Henard George Blake Henard, born September 8, 1936, age 82, of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2018, at his home, after a brief illness. He was saved in 1949 at New Life Missionary Baptist Church and ordained as a deacon on January 21, 1990. He remained a faithful member.

During his life, he was a wonderful father, logger, farmer, owner of Henard and Sons Sawmill, builder, developer, manager of Mid-Hawkins County Utility, totaling 48 years of water utility service to Hawkins County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Shelby Henard; grandparents, Perry and Bertha Henard Lawson; parents, Maurice and Jane Henard; step-father, John Frazier, Sr.; brothers, John Frazier, Jr. and Joel Frazier; infant grandson, Daniel Clay Buttry; brothers-in-law, James and Joe Davis. He is survived by his children, David Henard (Stephanie), Gary Henard (Vakisha), Becky Eldridge (Anthony), Teresa Buttry (Jonathan) all of Rogersville; 14 grandchildren, Brittany and Ben, Duskin and Walter Henard, Rachel and Matthew Eldridge, Andre, Jessica, Kaylee, James, Dazsha, Emily, Abigail and Olivia Buttry; sisters-in-law, Susan Frazier, Morristown, Sherry Frazier, Kingsport, Louella and Pat Davis, Rogersville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you for all of your love, support and prayers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at New Life Missionary Baptist Church with Rev.

Jim Shaw, Rev. Carroll Jarnigan, and Rev. Rex Cole officiating.
