Obituary for George E. Miller Sr. HOWLAND – George E. Miller Sr., 83, of Roseway Avenue S.E. passed away unexpectedly at 9:18 p.m. Thursday September 13, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania following a heart ailment. George was born in Warren on August 11, 1935 the son of William Warren and Elizabeth (Swartz) Miller. He was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church.

He retired as an anneal operator at WCI Steel Warren Plant after 45 years of employment. He was also a Steelworkers Union Steward. George joins in heaven his loving and devoted wife, Nora.

They were married for 60 years and never spent a night apart and saw each other every single day. George and Nora’s relationship was much more than a marriage – it was a true partnership. Their love and friendship was an inspiration and was admired by all who knew them.

George’s family was his number one priority – family came before all else. The bond he shared with his children, grandchildren and relatives was truly special. His family was his pride and joy and he was never afraid to show just how proud he was of all their accomplishments.

George’s children and grandchildren are the people they are today because of his love and commitment. George is survived by four children, George E. (Kim) Miller Jr. of Connecticut, Donna (Tim) Blaney of Coatsville, Pennsylvania, Darla K. Giancola (her late husband, Dennis Sesonsky Sr. who died on July 21, 2014) of Niles, Dennis L. (Denise L.) Miller of Canfield; eight grandchildren, Valarie (Craig) Burton, Joshua Miller, Jonathan Giancola, Philip (Ashley) Miller, Nathan Miller, Jazzalin Miller, Natasha Miller, Saydi Miller; great grandchild, Scarlet Burton; siblings, Barbara, Patricia, Earl, David, Ruth, Delores “DeeDee”, Darlene and William. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora L. Campbell Miller whom he married on February 17, 1955 and who died on March 23, 2015; siblings, Francis, Jane, Sandy, Robert, John, Billy and Rebecca; grandchild, baby Edward Miller.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. His son, the Rev.
