Obituary for Robert M. Young GIRARD – Robert M. Young, 81, passed away at 3:20 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at his residence following a short illness. Robert was born in Rossiter, Pennsylvania on January 7, 1937 the son of William and Blanche (Roush) Young. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Marion Center Pennsylvania High School, a United States Army veteran, and retired in 1999 from the maintenance department at Warren Fabricating Company following 25 years of service.

Bob cherished activities with great grandson and called him “His Buddy”, enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching Ohio State and the Pittsburgh Steelers football games. He occasionally attended the Girard First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a son, Robert E. (Tina) Young of Girard, daughter, Cherie (Dennis) Lowe of Liberty Township, three grandchildren, Jessica (Ken) Maurer of Mantua, Brent (Mallory Moder) Lowe of Liberty Township, Jason Visci, serving in the U.S. Navy, Oak Harbor, Washington, great-grandson Aiden M Lowe, brother, Bruce (Peggy) Young of Warren, two sisters, Crecia Huey and Dora Hudak both of Alliance.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Lenea Gill Young whom he married October 4, 1958 and she died August 28, 2008, a sister and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, at Noon on Monday, September 10, 2018 with the Rev. Debbie Dockstader officiating.

Visitation is one hour before the services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Robert M. Young please visit our Sympathy Store.
