Obituary for George H. Sanders, Sr. George H. Sanders, Sr., 79, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne. George was born in Butte, Nebraska to Henry and Dolly Sanders on February 18, 1939. George worked in Cheyenne as a truck driver over a span of 50 years.

He was an avid race car driver and enthusiast and a hardcore dedicated Husker fan. He was a devoted brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was one of five siblings, survived by his brother, Dewey, and sister, JoAnn.

He is also survived by eight children, 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sisters, Jackie and Henrietta, and one son, Bennett. A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with military honors to follow.
