Obituary for George P. Ratterman George P. Ratterman, 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018. He was born June 29, 1958 in Louisville to the late Carl B. Ratterman, Sr. and Rose Mudd Ratterman. George was a licensed Funeral Director in KY.

He was co-owner of Ratterman Brothers Funeral Homes located at 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews” and co-founder of 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville. George was a proud graduate of Saint Xavier High School 76’ and The University of Kentucky. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Optimist Club of Louisville and Hunting Creek Country Club.

He loved spending time with his family and friends at his lake house at Woodson Bend Resort. He was an avid boater, golfer and fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. George is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa Rosenbaum Ratterman; three sons, Patrick (Paige), Sam and Casey Ratterman; his grandson, Robert Ratterman due to arrive in January; siblings, Sally (John Turner) Connolly, Carl B. Ratterman, Jr., Tom (Jane) Ratterman, and Bill Ratterman.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, his extended family, colleagues and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Drive with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.

His family is grateful for the compassionate physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and staff at the Norton Suburban Hospital who oversaw his treatment with loving care. In keeping with George’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Hildegard House or the Boys and Girls Club of Kentuckiana. Online condolences may be left at www.
