OBITUARY Harvey Thomas Burton Sr. May 21, 1947 – August 31, 2018 Harvey Thomas Burton, Sr., 71, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018. He was born on May 21, 1947 in Louisville, to the late Thomas and Nellie Burton. Harvey served our country during Vietnam in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Spirit Life Church of God.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine Burton and Diane Luttrell. Here to carry on his memory are his wife of 50 years, Rosemary Burton; children, Nellie Marie Tyra (Donald), Harvey T. Burton, Jr. “Tommy” and Melanie Renee Arnold (Robert); grandchildren, Jonathan Tyra, Morgan McDonald (Eric) and DJ Tyra; along with his siblings, Barbara Garmon, Juanita Lands and Loraine Atwood. Visitation will be held from 2-8pm Tuesday, September 4th and 11-5pm Wednesday September 5th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.

The funeral service will start at 7pm Wednesday, September 5th at Spirit Life Church of God, 6901 Outer Loop, with visiting time beginning at 6pm at the church. Entombment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Harvey.
