OBITUARY Fontella Blessett November 15, 1940 – August 30, 2018 Fontella Blessett (Longworth) 77, a long time resident of Okolona, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Episcopal Church Home with family at her side. She was born in Claiborne County, TN on November 15, 1940. Fontella was a 1958 graduate of duPont Manual High.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Clayton Longworth and Elsie Ruth Longworth (Freeman), and a sister, Leeveda Stacy. Fontella is survived by her sisters, Ora Nell Burke (Dave) and Naomi Sue Horn (James), two nephews, Jeff Burke and John E. Shope III (Ellie) and a niece, Jennifer Westerfield. The family would like to thank the Episcopal Church Home and Hosparus for their loving and spiritual care of Fontella.

A funeral service to celebrate Fontella’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 and after 10 am the day of the funeral.
