Obituary for Marilyn Paletti Lose Lose, Marilyn P., 80, wife of Larry R. Lose died peacefully Sunday, October 28, 2018, while home surrounded by family. Born July 31, 1938 in Evanston, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Paul Paletti, Sr. and Ruth Paletti. Survivors include her husband: Larry Lose; three daughters: Sherry (Mark) Dunn, Wendy (Steve) Hilton, and Heidi (Jim) Keairns; five grandchildren: Jacob (Jessica) Dunn, Anna Dunn, Dakota (Amy) Hilton, Daniel Keairns and Abbie Keairns; and two siblings: two siblings: Barbara (Tom) Strickland and Paul Paletti, Jr.; and two step-siblings: Jackie Powell and Ronnie (Jean) Smithers.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter; she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and treasured her travels with her husband in Europe and throughout the U.S. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson Joshua Hilton, step-mother Dorothy Paletti. Marilyn graduated from Eastern High School (EHS) class of 1956 and the University of Louisville. Music was a big part of her life.

She grew up playing the flute in the EHS Band and went on to play in the University of Louisville Band and the Middletown Community Band. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church since 1949 and an active member of their choir. A special Thank You to family, friends, neighbors and church family for all the prayers, food, and cards that you have blessed us with during this time.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Our Savior Lutheran Schools Scholarship Fund or Mercy Comfort Dog Replacement Fund – 8305 Nottingham Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40222 Funeral services for Marilyn will be held Saturday, November 3rd, 2018, 11 a.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 8305 Nottingham Parkway, Louisville, KY with burial following at Middletown Historical Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, November 2nd at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville and from 10 a.m. until time for service on Saturday at the church.
