Obituary for Dennis Neel Wrinkle Dennis Neel Wrinkles, 80 years old of Louisville, KY passed away on Thursday, October 25th at the VA Hospital in Louisville, KY. After battling a long illness, he left us quickly and peacefully. Dennis was born on February 14, 1938 in Evansville, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Catherine Wrinkles and his brother Gene Wrinkles. He was married for 55 years to his still loving wife, Nancy (Hamilton), had five children, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His greatest achievement and contribution to this world that made him proudest was his family.

He grew up in Evansville, IN, attended Reitz Memorial High School and was a graduate of Brescia University with a degree in Accounting. During high school he was an accomplished athlete (track and field, football). He served in the Navy four years as a machinist aboard U.S.S. Aucilla and traveled the world.

After leaving the service, he worked in accounting at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 15 years, started his own insurance agency at American National and in his later years delivered medicines around the community for those in need. He was a devoted member of the Catholic church. He raised his family at Mother of Good Council and St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Louisville.

He was a passionate Notre Dame football fan, loved to travel, enjoyed crosswords and reading. By far and away, his main interest was anything that involved his family. Attending his children’s or his grand children’s sporting events, birthdays or activities was his main focus in life.

Being present and involved is what he enjoyed most. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Hamilton), his children Caroline (Lee) Naiser, Susan (Darren) George, Katie (Scott) Lewis, Emily Cross and Alex (Jenna) Wrinkles. His grandchildren Allie (Tim) Myers, Mia and Olivia George, Samuel, Emma and Maggie Lewis, Quinn Cross, Harper, Jules, Ella and Addie Wrinkles.

His great grandchildren Mason, Lily and Vivianne Myers. Visitation will be held at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville, Rd. , East Louisville from 2:00 – 7:00, Sunday October 28th.

A Mass and Celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 6500 St. Bernadette Ave. , Prospect, KY at 10:00 AM, Monday October 29th followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
