OBITUARY Jon R. Lesher April 11, 1977 – October 20, 2018 Jon R. Lesher, 41, of Louisville, KY, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Jon proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and went on to serve the Louisville community for 17 years with the Louisville Metro Police Department as a Sergeant and Homicide Detective. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion Lodge #93 as well as a member of the FOP Lodge #614.

Jon was a fun loving, had great wit and was a light hearted family man and a dutiful, dear friend. Jon was an avid UofL fan, and a huge jokester. He prided himself on his homemade lamp making and “photo-shop” expertise.

His father James Lesher precedes Jon in death. Jon leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 21 years, Debbie Zielke Lesher, children; Spencer and Allie Lesher, and mother; Bonita Lesher. He is also survived by his siblings; Andrew Lesher (Maryann), Johnathan Zielke (Cindy), Cynthia Goodwin (Dan), Daryl Zielke (Marzella), father-in-law Donald Zielke, and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

A service to honor Jon’s life will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 12pm at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 2108, from 12-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road.
