OBITUARY Phyllis Mae Wood December 2, 1932 – October 21, 2018 Phyllis Mae Wood, 85, passed away on Sunday, October 21, in Louisville. Phyllis was born on December 2, 1932 in North Vernon, Indiana, to the late Lowell and Mildred Southerland. She enjoyed playing tennis, bowling and spent much of her time teaching ceramics in her studio “Wildwood Ceramics”.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Wood; a brother, Paul Southerland and a great grandson, Dalun Wood. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Griff Wood (Carol), Steve Wood, Lisa Cattano (Paul), Kim Smith (Mark); grandchildren, Brady Wood (Erin), Dayna O’Brien (James), Patrick Wood, Anna Wood (Billy Huber), Rachel and Sarah Wood, Brittany and Taylor Cattano, and Grant and Payton Smith; as well as 4 great grandchildren. The family will accept guests at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, on Tuesday, October 23, from 10 am- 12 pm, and a committal service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park on Tuesday at 12 pm.
