Obituary for Dorothy Marie Hylton Long Dorothy Marie Hylton Long 92 passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville, KY. She was born September 1, 1926 to the late Everett and Elsie Reese Scott in Page, WV. On April 5, 1944, she married Silas Hylton, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1989.

She was also preceded in death by a brother , Buddy Scott; and two sisters, Rita Johnson and Shelva Jean Wassom. She was employed by Neff Lumber Mills in Broadway, VA as a bookkeeper retiring after 25 years. In 1991 she moved to Florida and on May 15, 1991 married Paul Long who also preceded her in death on May 16, 2002.

She was a member of the Lake Shrine Ladies Auxiliary, #127 Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile Crescent Club, Kismet Court #86 Ladies Oriental Shrine and Anna Miller Club of the Elks. Surviving are a daughter Barbara Kent of Linville; a son Michael Hylton (Kathy Snyder) of Shelbyville, KY; 3 grandsons, Wesley Kent, Tim and Todd Hylton; and 5 great grandchildren.
