OBITUARY William Kenneth Winkler July 16, 1933 – October 16, 2018 Winkler, William Kenneth “Bill”, 85, passed away on October 16, 2018, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Bill was born on July 16, 1933 in Anchorage, KY. Bill was a member of Lyndon Christian Church for over 60 years where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

He also coached at Lyndon Recreation for 19 years. Bill worked for and retired from GE after more than 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary V. Winkler; sons, Michael Winkler (Peggy), David Winkler (Linda), Rob Winkler (Jana); 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in passing by his sister, Marion Winkler, and his brother, Frank “Dutch” Winkler. Visitation will be held from 11-2 PM and 4-8 PM on Thursday, October 18, and again on Friday from 10-11 AM at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be made to the Lyndon Christian Church Memorial Fund, 8125 LaGrange Road, or Hosparus.
