Obituary for Samuel “Quinn” Porter Samuel “Quinn” Porter died unexpectedly on October 20, 2018 in Louisville, KY at the age of 18. Quinn was born on March 31, 2000 to Sam and Kim Porter in Louisville. Quinn was a sensitive, thoughtful and loving soul who was gifted with the art of listening to others.

He enjoyed being with his friends, listening to music, tech savvy and had a special place in his heart for animals. He will live on in our hearts forever. He attended Seneca and Atherton High School, eventually receiving his GED.

Quinn was an electricians apprentice for Arthur Gordon Electric and was enrolled in their apprenticeship program. Along with his parents, Quinn is survived by his paternal grandparents, Donna (George) Wholaver and Sam (Diane) Porter; his maternal grandparents Arthur and Phyllis Gordon; aunts and uncles, Brittany (Matt) Pesce, and Jonathan (Amy) Gordon; cousins, Nicholas and Matthew Pesce, and Jackson, Brady and Mary Gordon; and close family friend Eliza Porter. The Gordon family will host a visitation on Monday, October 29, from 4-8 pm at the Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews”.

The Porter Family will be having a Celebration of life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Healing Place. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Samuel “Quinn” Porter please visit our Sympathy Store.
