George S. Toman, 80, of Tichigan, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Southpointe Long Term Care in Greenfield, Wisconsin. Born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 10, 1938, he was the son of George and Ida (nee Barling) Toman. He spent his early life in Omaha where he graduated from area schools.

He was married to Joann Burns and following marriage, they made their home in Minnesota before moving to Northern Wisconsin. In 1979, they moved to Burlington before making their home… Read More » in Tichigan. Joann preceded him in death on June 29, 2005.

George was the owner/operator of a wholesale company, known as George Toman Company. He was an Eagle Scout and loved to travel. He especially enjoyed the Boundary Waters and his yearly trips to Jamaica.

He was also a car enthusiast and fond of his Ford Falcon, which he drove in the annual Memorial Day Parade. George is survived by his children, Randy (Tim) Placek, Tracey Kelley, and Valerie (Mark) Bogan; and grandchildren, Zachary, Jennifer, Skyler, Sarah, Bryce, and Sydney. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joann, and daughter Julie Toman.
