Georgia Lee Deremer, 85, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the WMHS Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on April 22, 1933, in War, WV, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Sadie (Belcher) Beavers. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Bob Deremer; brothers, Peg Beavers and Jim Beavers; and sister, Gertrude Rutherford.

She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed crocheting hat for newborns. Surviving are her two sons, Rick Neilson, Midlothian, and Craig Neilson and Sharri Frenzel, Frostburg; daughter, Gail L. Kemp and husband Pastor Fred, Shinglehouse, PA; grandchildren, Rob Neilson and fiancé Brittany Carr, Jake Neilson and Alicia Andrew, Josh Neilson, Sadie Kemp, Brent Walker and wife Sarah, Brooke Preston and husband Jonathon, Dylan Neilson, Ora Kemp and wife Lee Ann; great grandchildren, Carter Neilson, Cole Walker and Brynlee Preston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Georgia was cremated in accordance with her wishes.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Monday, November 19, 2018, from 4-6 pm. The family would like to thank the staff of WMHS Nursing and Rehab for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Georgia’s name may be directed towards, The Alzheimer’s Association website, act.
