Georgia’s Obituary Georgia Maxine Sams 94, of Belpre, Ohio passed away April 13, 2019 at her home in Belpre, Ohio. She was born on October 12, 1924 in Elizabeth, West Virginia a daughter of the late Bruce and Ora Blanch Nutter. Maxine was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from C & P Telephone Company after 42 years of service.

She collected bear memorabilia and enjoyed quilting and crafts. Maxine loved listening to music and her son-in-law, Rodger’s Band. She was a member of the Pioneers, of the telephone company and a member of the Lockport United Methodist Church.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Unger (Rodger) of Grovetown, GA; her grandchildren, Kim Ann Cowman (Russ) of Belpre, Tammy Sue Bailey of Hagerstown, PA, Sasha Renee Bandfield (Larry) of Boaz, WV, and Amber Dawn Davidson (John) of Grovetown, GA; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Donal Sams; her brother, Roger Nutter and her sister, Louise Penn. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre with Rev.

Jamie Sprague officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
