Georgia Payne, 72, of Taft, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday. She was a long-time member of Shiloh Church of Christ, an avid crafter, and had retired from the Madison County School system where she worked for 30 years as a teacher’s aide. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clifford E. Payne Jr; Her brothers, Johnny Blankenship and Bobby Blankenship; Her parents: George W. & Emma Blankenship.

Surviving family members include her son, Clifford E. Payne and his wife, Susan; Karen Payne Steele and her husband, Kurt; Her six grandchildren: Hailey Payne, Kaitlin Payne, Dylan Steele, Jared Steele, Andrew Eakes, and Elizabeth Galloway; Her sister, Cathie Troup and her husband, Larry. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at the funeral home with Bro.

Ron Little officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery on Stateline Road in Ardmore, Alabama. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
