Gerald Billy Cline died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Autumn Lane Family Care in Birnamwood under the care of his daughters and Ascension Ministry Hospice. He was 78 years old. He was born April 20, 1940 in Langlade County, son of the late Arlie and Opal (Maddix) Cline.

He married Sue Ellen Quigley, and they later divorced. Gerald was employed as a lineman for Chicago Northwestern and Soo Line railroads, and was longtime resident of the Elton and White Lake areas. He was interested in blacksmithing, and enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, welding, and tinkering with cars.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Lauri (Kent) Graves of Kronenwetter, Dorla (Carl) Van Setters of Weston, Ruth (Ken) Weisenberger of Kronenwetter, and Shelly (Dan) Pranke of Wittenberg; 8 grandsons; 3 sisters, Viola Arrowood, Loretta (Bill) Coleman, and Phyllis (Phil) Arrowood; and a brother, Ronnie (Carol) Cline. Memorials in Gerald’s name may be directed to the family. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
