Gerald’s Obituary WILLMAN, Gerald Edward – Of Flint, age 87, died Monday, February 25, 2019 at Courtyard Manor. Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Tom Mattiuzzo officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

Contributions may be made to Riverside Tabernacle. Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday and 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Gerald was born in Kennett, Missouri on October 8, 1931, the son of the late Lawrence and Lena (Hickerson) Willman.

He married Beverly Tarno on October 17, 1953 in Flint. Gerald served in the United States Airforce for four years and served a year in Korea. He was a member of Riverside Tabernacle and volunteered for Riverside Storehouse for many years.

Gerald also volunteered for Maps RV Program for many years as well. He was employed by General Motors for 28 years, retiring in 1987. Gerald enjoyed woodworking and working on cars.

Above all, he loved being with his family. Surviving are his wife, Beverly; sons, Gregory and wife Linda, and Hugh and wife Lora; grandchildren, Kristy (David) Beckwith, Kevin (Sarah) Willman, Jeff (Melanie) Willman and Jared (Lindsay) Willman, Jimmy Grohonski and Billy Grohonski; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Logan, Alyssa, Landon, Haylee, Audrey, Henry, Lance, Paige, Zachary, Levi, Jace and Stella; He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda, on December 11, 1972 and parents, Lawrence and Lena Willman and sister, Mary Sue McMullen on November 11, 2015.
