He was born on August 7, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Marcella Rogers. Gerald was a diesel mechanic for P.I.E. Trucking in Chicago prior to being a mechanic for City of Buchanan until he retired.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Steve (Jennifer) Rogers, Paul (Amanda) Rogers; brother, Lester Rogers; sisters, Shirley Mehajevic, Joan Marzano; and grandchildren, Marina, Steven, Kyle, and Justin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marcella; and his wife, Charlene. Cremation has taken place.

Donations in Gerald’s memory may be made to the Automotive Program of Buchanan High School, 401 W. Chicago St., Buchanan, MI 49107. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Online condolences may be made at www.
