OBITUARY Gerald Joseph Blanchard March 19, 1941 – October 31, 2018 Gerald Joseph Blanchard, 77, a native and resident of Pierre Part, LA, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a retired painter who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going to the casino.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years, Jeanette R. Blanchard; three sons, Kelly Blanchard, Craig Blanchard (Sherree) and Jason Blanchard; two daughters, Jerrilyn Blanchard and Melissa B. Naquin (Greg); one daughter-in-law, Melissa C. Blanchard; eight grandchildren, Kayla Blanchard, Cameron Blanchard, Casey Blanchard, Tristan Blanchard, Nathan Naquin, Macey Naquin, Cindy Albarado and Joetta Cavalier; three sisters, Winnie Fernandez, Wilma Simoneaux and Wineva Sanchez; three brothers, Henry Blanchard Jr. (Kitty), Michael Blanchard (Elnora), Arnold Blanchard (Sharon); two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lang and Barbara Rodrigue; one brother-in-law, Melvin Rodrigue (Gloria). He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lilia Blanchard; children, Nathan Blanchard and Melanie Blanchard; mother and father in law, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Rodrigue; six brothers-in-law, Sonny Sanchez, Fred Fernandez, Eric Rodrigue, William Landry, Alrich Simoneaux and Cecil Lang and one sister-in-law, Margie Templet and two nieces, Arlene Goetz and Janice Sanchez. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 12pm.

Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
