Gerald “Tom” Steward Standish, Michigan Gerald Thomas Steward, 81, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born July 7, 1937 in Omer, Michigan to the late William and Margret Eva (Jaynes) Steward. Gerald married Myrtle Teeples November 26, 1960 in Napoleon, Michigan.

He worked for American Hoist for 22 years, Newcor for 14 years and Modern Machine for 10 years before retiring. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing, motorcycle… Read More » riding and gardening. He also served his country by serving 6 years in the U. S. Army.

Gerald is survived by his Wife, Myrtle, and his 4 Children: Doug Steward, Tammy (Vince) Quick, Steve (Mandy) Steward and Cathy (Jim) Kennedy. He is also survived by his 10 Grandchildren: Lacy Jezak, Scott Jezak, Jr., Somer Vanek, Katie Grohman, Steven Grohman, Jacob (Chelsea) Steward, Mathew Kennedy, Jr., Ashlee Steward, Stephen (Taylor) Steward, Jr., and Evan Steward and 13 Great Grandchildren. Gerald is survived by 2 Brothers; Jim (Joan) Steward and Gene Steward.

He was predeceased by his Parents; a Daughter, Jean Grohman; 3 Sons, Tim, Tom and Ted Steward and 5 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home – STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Micigan with Pastor John Tousciuk officiating. The family will greet family and friends Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 1:00 pm till time of service at 5:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL.
