Gerald Wayne Dotson, 87, of Salina, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on October 19, 1930 in Salina, Oklahoma; the son of Dee and Gladys (Thornton) Dodson. He graduated from Salina High School and went on to faithfully serve his country in the United States Navy from 1948 until honorably discharged in 1952.

He married Willa Dean in Miami, Oklahoma on June 19, 1981. Gerald worked most of his life as a laborer for Williams Construction. He enjoyed spending… Read More » time outdoors; especially when he was going fishing, hunting or raising cows.

He also enjoyed playing pool and going bowling. Gerald was a lifelong resident of the Mayes County area and leaves behind so many memories for his family and friends to remember. No formal services are planned at this time.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Charles Adams and wife Carla of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; Jack Adams and wife Sarah of Jay, Oklahoma; and Charles Michalak and wife Linda of Alvin, Texas; nephew, Randall Elmore of Salina, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Gladys Dotson, his wife, Willa Dean Dotson, and sister, Loraine Elmore.
