OBITUARY Gerard Louis Postema February 26, 1939 – December 19, 2018 On December 19, 2018, Gerard Louis Postema went to be with his Lord after complications with diabetes. Gerard was born on February 26, 1939, in Grand Rapids, to the late Lewis and Irene (Zuller) Postema. Jerry is survived by his two sons, Brian (Kelly) and Darrell (Jill) Postema; four grandchildren, Brandon, Sarah, Scott, and Abigail; six siblings, Bonnie, Bud, Larry, Lewrene, Mary, and Donna; and numerous other friends and family who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Jerry, was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Myrna. Jerry served our country and protected our freedom while serving in the U.S. Army. After leaving the service, he worked as a distribution manager at Bissell Inc. until retiring after 30 years.

Jerry was a joy to be around, as he was known for his contagious optimism and sense of humor. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. A Memorial Visitation will be held a Reyers North Valley Chapel on Saturday, Decemeber 22, from 2:00 – 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
