Obituary for Gil Levine Gil Levine, 81 of Rushville passed away Saturday December 22, 2018 in Columbus, IN. Gil was born on April 4, 1937 in Tel Aviv, Israel to the late Harry and Nettie (Katz) Levine. He was a 1956 graduate of Israel Samuel Gompers High School in Bronx, New York.

Gil married Phyllis (Turner) on June 2, 1990 and she survives. Gil worked as a custodian at Warren Township Schools for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of the IBEW Electrical workers Union, Masonic Ancient Landmarks Lodge #319, the Scottish Rite and the Shriners.

Gil loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Gil is survived by a step-son, Mark Burris and wife Jo of Beech Grove, IN, a step daughter, Charlotte Street and companion Jim Sloan of Quincy, IN, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a nephew, Michael Levine. Gil was preceded in death by a brother Freddie Levine.

Services will be held at 12 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Pastor John Wall will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 10:30 AM until the time of service that same day at the mortuary.

Burial will take place at 2:30 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Gil Levine please visit our Sympathy Store.
