Giovanni Citro, August 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Giovanni immigrated from Italy in 1960 with his 3-year-old daughter, Philomena, following his wife, Antoinetta. They truly lived the American Dream.

He was a stone mason for over 50 years and helped build many prominent buildings in Philadelphia. He loved working in his garden and going to the Italian club in South Philadelphia. He also loved to dance and wouldn’t think twice about getting on the microphone at weddings and parties of friends and family to sing his favorite Italian songs.

He was always the life of the party. Giovanni is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Antoinetta; survived by his daughter, Philomena; son, Amedeo (Tina); granddaughters, Michelle Conicello (Chris) and Giovanna (Dan) and grandson, Amedeo. He will truly be missed by all.

Viewing to be held on Thursday, September 6, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Rd. , Phila. , PA 19128 at 10:00 A.M., followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Newark, Delaware.
