Obituary for Gladys Berger Gladys Hefter Berger died at age 86 on November 28, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Dr. Allan Berger, her devoted children, Robert Berger of Columbus and Joyce (Randy) Leiser of Dallas in addition to grandchildren Casey (Morgan) Marcus of Chicago and Amy Leiser of Washington DC. Born in Chicago, she met the love of her life, Allan, while she was a nursing student and he was in Medical School at Chicago Medical School.

In addition to her nursing career, Gladys obtained her Masters in Health Education at The Ohio State University and then worked as Director of Professional Education at the American Cancer Society. Gladys will be missed by many lifelong friends in Columbus and her loving family. Funeral services will be held at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 East Main Street at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 30th.

Shiva will be held at the Berger residence immediately following the services on Friday afternoon from 4-7 PM and on Sunday, December 2nd from 4:00-7 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Upcoming Events Funeral Service , NOV 30.
