Arvy Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Boggy Depot Cemetery.

Visition will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Cathey died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at an Ada nursing center. He was born Dec.

28, 1948, to Charlie Anderson and Minnie Iva Evans Cathey at Boggy Depot. He had been a truck driver for Jennings Stone and was affiliated with Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church. He and Naomi Carter were married July 16, 1976, at Sherman, Texas.

Survivors include his wife Naomi of the home; daughter Melissa Calfy of Calera, son Steven Cathey and wife Jeri Holdiness of Meridian, Mississippi, daughter Brenda Coats of Marlow, and son Michael Cathey and wife Lyndsay of Lone Grove; brother Earl Cathey and wife Janie of Idabel, sister Mettie Hawkins Croy and husband John of Duncan; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Colleen Kay Cathey; three brothers, Hughey Cathey, Gene Cathey and Vern Cathey; nephews Jackie Cathey and Tommy Cathey; niece Shelba Cathey; sister-in-law Pat Bohanon; and brother-in-law Rick Hawkins. Bearers will be grandsons, Justin Cathey, Hunter Cathey, Michael Cathey, Derek Garison, Josh Garison, Daegan Coats and Frankie Calfy.

Honorary bearers are Michael Cathey, Steven Cathey, Troy Cathey, Dakota Coats, Devin Coats and David Toombs.
