Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Glenda Sue (Bell) Owens of Hernando, MS, passed away January 24, 2019. A visitation will be held on January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Cockrum United Methodist Church (3960 MS-305, Hernando, MS) with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Cockrum United Methodist Church Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Owens was born on August 2, 1947 in Waynesboro, TN. She was a gifted painter and artist and an amazing cook. Mrs. Owens loved being outside working in her yard and garden.

She was a Methodist Youth Fellowship leader and enjoyed pulling pranks on everyone. Mrs. Owens had a beautiful alto voice and loved singing in the choir at church. She was a joy to be around and she will be missed by her family and many friends.

Mrs. Owens leaves behind her husband, Richard Owens, of Hernando, MS; daughters, Angela (Robert) Ramsey of Olive Branch, MS. and Heather Owens of Cockrum, MS; son, Richard (Marissa) Owens of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, James Taylor Cox of Olive Branch, Wade Ramsey of Olive Branch, Luke Bradley Bobbitt of Cockrum, Benjamin Bobbitt of Cockrum, Daphne Belle Owens of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Robert Gallaher of Memphis, TN, Ronald Green Bell of Southaven, MS, and Alexander Graham Bell of Dandridge, TN. Glenda Sue Owens was preceded in death by her parents, Chester William and Lela Sizemore Bell; brother, James Bell and sister, Clarice Ann Bell.

In lieu of traditional gifts, memorials can be made in honor of Glenda Sue Owens to Cockrum United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www. stjude.org). Online condolences may be left on the Tribute Wall at www.
